Somewhere between that time and these
1984 air checks, it morphed...to a AM/FM MONO one man simulcast
operation with a random "commentary / country music / Sousa march /
occasional dead air" format! Owner James Brownyard inadvertently
became one of the earliest talk format guys and he didn't hold
back...speaking the words a lot of people were thinking!
While I was visiting my parents in North East in the spring of 1984,
I captured most of these great sound bites on my portable blaster all in one
day! Since this went on every day for years, there must be some more
great material languishing on an old cassette somewhere! Whether you
remember this great station or not, you'll be entertained. Feel free
to re-distribute these in any way!
